DA14531 Altium Files for Development Kit USB

Hi Dialog team,

I'm trying to design a PCB using DA14531, and it would greatly help if you could provide the board design files in Altium Designer format for USB development kit.

There're options to export Allegro design files in a way that Altium can import.

I'm using latest Altium Designer 20.

 

Also on that note thank you for making DA14531 footprint available via snapeda, these work great in Altium.

Hitting breakpoints in ROM not in excludable source code

Dear Dialog Semi,

I am hitting a breakpoint in ROM at 0x07F22F50. I had originally checked the map file and found this was near the attm_svc_create_db_128 function at 0x07F22C19, but after excluding this function from ROM code I am still hitting this breakpoint and not redirecting to this function in the source code.

Do you have any suggested steps for debugging these breakpoints in general? It would be nice to have a listing of the ROM addresses/functions with breakpoints and perhaps the source around them, or a description of what a breakpoint at that location means.

Excluding from functions from ROM, e.g. __EXCLUDE_ROM...

Are there any examples showing how to exclude ROM code properly?

I'd like to exclude __EXCLUDE_ROM_CUSTS1__ and __EXCLUDE_ROM_ATTM_DB_128__ as I seem to be hitting a breakpoint inside attm_sv_create_db_128() after a connect, disconnect, and then reconnect that I can't debug easily.

 

DA14531-00FXDEVKT-P "Development Kit-Pro" unconnected P21 on J17

While trying to use the MikroBUS socket for the DA14531 on the "Development Kit-Pro" board I did not get the same result as with the "Development Kit-USB". After some searching, I have found that the P21 on J17 is left unconnected, confirmed by the published schematics. I think this is a hardware bug because I don't see any reason to do so.

I solvedt this problem by soldering a wire between P21 on J17 and P21 on J2. See the photo in the DevKitPro-P21.pdf file.

The pad P0_0 is by default a reset input. I have found that I need to add the following line at the beginning of the function set_pad_functions() of the file user_periph_setup.c

GPIO_Disable_HW_Reset();

Modify the following lines in the file user_periph_setup.h inside the #if defined (__DA14531__)

#define UART1_TX_PORT GPIO_PORT_0
#define UART1_TX_PIN GPIO_PIN_0
#define UART1_RX_PORT GPIO_PORT_0
#define UART1_RX_PIN GPIO_PIN_1

prod_test uninitialized port_sel

I passed severy days figure out why the DA14531 prod_test don't run reliably on both the Development Kit-Pro and Development Kit-USB if the communication is configured to TX=P0_0 and RX=P0_1. What I found is that the port_sel variable that is used to setup the UART pins stay uninitialized. Most of the time the memory containing the port_sel variable hold a zero value matching the P0_0_AND_P0_1_INITIALIZED_FROM_EXT_TOOL constant and the application work as expected. But sometimes this that memory contain a non zero value and the aplication fail to communicate.

I am designing with two documents for the DA14531. One is DATASHEET(Revision 2.1 / 17-Oct-2019) and the other is User Manual(UM-B-114 / Revision 1.1 / 25-Oct-2019). However, I found a difference information between two documents.
