Burn OTP on custom board via JTAG

Hi,
I want to burn otp on custom board using the dev kit.
After reading several forum posts, about how to burn the otp of a custom board, I tried the following procedure:
1) I removed the daughter board from the development kit's motherboard, so that I don't end up burning otp on that chip.
2) I connected the JTAG pins on the development board to the JTAG pins on the custom board.
3) I connected the dev board to PC using USB, and then powered up the custom board.
4) I then started smart snippets, selected UART, and then opened the OTP burn tab. I pressed connect, hen it showed press hardware reset button to connect, I pressed the hardware reset on dev board, but the reset was not recognised, and so it is not connecting.

Have I made the connections right?
The custom board only has JTAG interface and no UART. So, can you help me figure out how to burn otp in it.

An update:
I now put aside the dev board, and just connected the JTAG of custom board to the JLINK adapter, and connected it to PC. Then opened smart snippets with just JTAG, and then tried to connect, and it got connected and I could also read. So, I can just burn the otp by connecting a supply of 6.6 V now right?
I just want to make sure I am doing it right. This time im using only the JLINK adapter and nothing else.

Regarding the Table 258: Recommended Operating Conditions of the DA14580 datasheet, the supply voltage on VPP pin during the OTP programming should be 6.6V – 6.8V. Please check the datasheet.

Other than the Vpp, The process of connecting the custom board to PC using the Link adapter and using smart snippets is correct?

Below are the required connections for programming the OTP of your design via JTAG.

  1.  J4 - Pin 1 (VBAT_580) - > Vcc of the custom board.
  2.  J4 - Pin 25 (TMS) - > SWDIO pin of custom board.
  3.  J4 - Pin 27 (TCK) - > SW_CLK pin of custom board.
  4.  TP2 -> to the Vpp of the custom board (if OTP needs to be programmed).
  5.  J4 - Pin 2 (GND) - > to the ground of the custom board.

Hi Krishnanag,
in JTAG method it doesn't requires the reset button . but in UART method you have to put out a separate reset toggle button out, connect the one end to the button and to the reset pin on the custom board and other to the Vbat 3.0v. Press the reset button during the connection process to get connected.
