DA14580 code flashin in SPI

Dear,
We use the DA14580 Development Kit Pro Development kit to evaluate the DA14580 for a new project. We want to load the code in SPI flash memory of the daughter board by using the mother board. We downloaded SmartSnippet with SPI Flash programmer, but when programming the following errors appears (and the programming fails):

[ERROR @18-07-17 15:02:04] Failed writing value A7 at address 50000012.
[INFO @18-07-17 15:02:04] Failed downloading firmware file to the board.
[INFO @18-07-17 15:02:04] Failed configuring SPI Flash ports and pins.

Can you guide me, or provide me a document, how to program the SPI Flash on a daughter card by using the motherboard of the development kit.

Thanks in advance and kind regards,

Wim van der Steeg

I believe I'm having the same issue. When I try to do anything what the board I get the following or a similar error for the specific operation. What is the solution to this?

[ERROR OTP Image @18-10-16 22:44:00] Failed writing value A7 at address 50000012.

Hi johncharris,

Hi johncharris,

Could you please clarify if you are using our development kit or you have designed your custom board with DA14580? If you are using our DK, please check the Figure 7: DA14580/581 Boot from external SPI memory of the Getting started with the DA1458x Development Kit – Pro (UM-B-049) user manual and make sure the jumpers are placed correctly in the motherboard.   Make sure that you have selected the DA14580-01 chip from the Project and Virtual COM port/ JTAG selection window when starting the SmartSnippets toolbox. If you don’t select the correct board, the flash programmer will not work. The click to the Board Setup button from the Tools tab and check the SPI Flash pin configuration. The configuration should be the below:

CLK -> P0_0

CS -> P0_3

MISO -> P0_5

MOSI -> P0_6

Then, please open the Flash programmer, connect, read, erase the SPI flash and then select the correct image and burn it. Please make sure that you will Be aware that you should make the SPI flash bootable. Finally, reset your board and it should start advertising

For more information about the SmartSnippets toolbox, please read the SmartSnippets Toolbox (UM-B-083) user manual from our support page. You will find attached, the steps I have mentioned above. Please, let us know if you have any other issue.
