Pi filter

Dear Support team, please, explain me about PI filter for DA14531. In datasheet i find, what if FCC rules suitable for me, i may omit Pi filter, but in FAQ you strong reccomended used it. What i must do?

The certification was done with the pi-filter. As mentioned in the FAQs, yes, a Pi Filter on the RFIOp port is required for ETSI, FCC and ARIB specification and remove the out of band emission. It might be possible to have FCC certification without the filter, but this is depending on the layout and antenna matching, so it is hard to guarantee this from our side. To do so, it is strongly recommended to use a Pi Filter on the RFIOp port.
