The small module for mobile application

Hi, I am making a small box which can connect to my phone via BLE, I have one Da14580 basic kit, but the kit (with the debugger on it) is quite big for my box. Where can i buy a smaller module (which don't have a debugger on it) in order to solder it onto my PCB? the smaller Da14580 module must have antena on it because i cannot create the antena. the sample is in the attached file.

Another question, can i flash the program code into the SRAM or OTP using Serial Wire Debug (SWD)?

Looking forward to your replies. Thanks!!

Hi Thanhtu131,

Hi Thanhtu131,

As already replied you in your previous forum post, We have a DA14531 module, namely DA14531 SmartBond TINY™ Module! It has very small dimensions and is very low power. Follow the link below to find datasheet, documentation and HW collaterals for the module:

https://www.dialog-semiconductor.com/products/bluetooth-module-da14531-smartbond-tiny

Features:

Bluetooth 5.1 core qualified

Integrated antenna

Worldwide certification

Cortex-M0+ @16MHz

IoTMark™-BLE score of 18300

23.75uA/MHz MCU current

Memory: 48kB RAM, 32kB OTP &1Mb FLASH

1.8-3.3V Supply Range

+2.2dBM max output power

-93dBm sensitivity

Rx current 2mA at 3V

Tx current 4mA at 3V at 0dBm

Interfaces: 2xUART, SPI, I2C

4-channel 10-bit ADC

8 GPIO

Built-in temperature sensor

Operating temperature: -40°C to +85°C

Dimensions: 12.5x14.5x2.8 mm

If you are starting a new design / project, we would strongly recommend to start with DA14531 or DA14585/586 products and our latest SDK6.0.14, as it is much more improved. We have a lot of code examples and improved documentation, and there is also software roadmap support. There is no software roadmap support for DA14580 product family and SDK5.

Thanks, PM_Dialog

Thanks for your answer but i

Thanks for your answer but i have already developed my thesis project based on DA14580. I also find it very difficult to developing my project since there is no software roadmap support for DA14580 product family and SDK5. But i have no time to do it all again. So do you have the DA14580 module or know about the stores which sell it?

Hi Thanhtu131,

Hi Thanhtu131,

Please see the available modules:

https://www.dialog-semiconductor.com/bluetooth-modules

You can easily port the application in the DA14531 and SDK6.

Thanks, PM_Dialog
