Error: C4065E: type of input file 'DA14585AC' unknown

Hi, Dialog!

I run the Blinky Peripheral example application on the basic development kit according to the reference document UM-B-048. after I have done all the preparations(follow the reference steps), ready to compile the SDK example project blinky, Keil5 notified me of an error:Error: C4065E: type of input file 'DA14585AC' unknown.

It puzzled me, because all my workflow is based on the reference document UM-B-048,after experimenting, I found that this error sometimes does not appear after restarting the computer, but it appeared again when I switched to another example project ble_app_barebone, Switching back to the previous project again cannot eliminate this error.

If anyone can provide me with some help, I would be very grateful

Hi Wu hongyi,

Hi Wu hongyi,

Thanks for your question online. Could you please indicate the version of the SDK that you are using?

We strongly recommend the latest version of the SDK (6.0.14) for the DA14585.

The SDK examples should be running out-of-the box and as provided by the SDK.

Would it be possible to share a screenshot with the Keil error?

Thanks, PM_Dialog

Hi PM_Dialog,

Hi PM_Dialog,

Thanks for your reply. I'm so sorry that I forgot to provide the complete relevant information.

The SDK version that I'm using is 6.0.14.1114 and it has been updated with the hotfix file. The SDK examples I used  were blinky and ble_app_barebone.

The Keil5 error information screenshot has been added to this reply.

Thanks, Wu hongyi

Hi Wu hongyi,

Hi Wu hongyi,

It seems that you are using the correct configuration. As mentioned in my previous reply, the SDK example should build and run as provided from the SDK. Could you please try to uninstall and re-install the Keil IDE> I would also recommend using a new SDK directory.

Please let us know if the issue exists in the new Keil installation.

Thanks, PM_Dialog
