Console window buffer size error

I have an issue where if we call the CLI from our code, which is then used to program 16 devices, the CLI window opens then immediately closes. I have managed to screen grab the error:

ERROR: [cli_int_console_window] 87: The parameter is incorrect.
ERROR: SetConsoleScreenBufferSize failed.
Critical error. Application will exit....

Please can you asset in this matter

Hi jlaugharne,

Hi jlaugharne,

Could you please clarify what you mean that you call the CLI from your code? Are you using the Production Line Tool (PLT) in order to program the 16 devices you are using the CLI from Smart Snippets? Also, which command are you trying to send?

Thanks, PM_Dialog

Hello

Hello

Yes we are using the CLI version of PLT to program the 16 devices. We are attempting to call the CLI from within our own application using a batch script. The PLT CLI is seen to open but immediately close.

When we try using the PLT CLI direct via a command line console we experience the same behaviour, but occasionally we have been able to capture the error message that we previously stated. It has something to do with the console buffer size, as far as we can tell.

We are calling the CLI with the following arguments: -p -l -s.
However, the arguments are not relevant because even if we try to call the PLT CLI with no arguments (so we should get the help output) we find the same behaviour: CLI window opens and immediately closes.

Kind Regards

Jonathan L

Hi jlaugharne,

Hi jlaugharne,

Let me check your issue and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Could you please let me know which version of PLT software are you working on?

Thanks, PM_Dialog

Hi jlaugharne,

Hi jlaugharne,

This is an issue PLT version is v_4.1.0.132. In order to fix it please go to the properties of the command line window and hit the “Layout” tab. Then you should change the height “Screen Buffer Size” to the maximum allowed size. This bug has been already fixed in the latest version of PLT firmware (DA1458x_DA1468x_PLT_v_4.3.0.310). I would highly recommend you to move into the latest version of PTL.
