Does the EDGE DETECT in CNT6/DLY6 of the SLG46721 detect edges of input signal or delayed signal?

That is a good question!

The EDGE DETECT in CNT6/DLY6 of the SLG46721 detects edges of the input signal. The output of this EDGE DETECT is a short high pulse when an edge is detected.

You can choose which edge by setting the parameter 'Edge Select' in the properties view for the specific counter/delay block.

If you are looking to detect the edge of the delayed signal, you can use the P DLY block (Programmable Delay) or create an edge detector circuit. Here is an app note showing various edge detector circuits in the SLG46721. http://www.silego.com/products/329/312/AN-1046.html
