I am working in a project to create a mesh wireless sensor network(WSN). I am very interested in doing so using mesh BLE devices. However, this topic is completely new for me and I have faced some challenges to fully determine the performance of BLE in a similar application to mine. Thus, I would like to ask some technical questions hoping to get better understanding for my project.
I want to build a basic circuit (minimal functions) with the DA14580. My goal is to just have the antenna, the power source, the programming interface
and the oscillator on the board itself and connect all other pins to plug strips so I can add other circuits to the layout later
(eg. different inputs for the ADC, trying to controll something with the GPIO pins).
I read the start up guide and have a few questions:
We're considering using a small chip antenna (Johanson 2450AT07A0100, 50 ohm impedance, return loss 6.5 dB, https://www.johansontechnology.com/datasheets/antennas/2450AT07A0100.pdf) with the DA1468x on our custom board. Do you have any reference designs or documentation regarding using a chip antenna with the DA1468x?
Is there any solution to have not certificate bluetooth chip da14583 in our design?
I have read some articles which talks about bluetooth modules which does not need new certification.
So my question is if exist some pre-certified bluetooth module with da14583.
So far we have an externall chip antenna but what i know this design will have to be certified.
