Information about us
The Developers Forum is operated by Dialog Semiconductor plc (Dialog, We, Us, or any generic term or phrase). Dialog Semiconductor plc is registered in England and Wales under company number 03505161 and has its registered office and main trading address at Tower Bridge House, St Katharine's Way, London, E1W 1AA.
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information about yourself when registering to use the Support Site and to maintain and promptly update information which becomes out of date. You agree to treat your username, password or any other piece of information as part of our registration procedures as confidential and you agree to not disclose it to a third party.
All users of the Support Site must comply with the following acceptable use conditions; you must not use the Support Site:
- in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent;
- to send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use or re-use any message, data, information, text or other material (Content) which does not comply with our content standards as detailed in the following section;
- to transmit, or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam); or
- to knowingly transmit, send or upload any Content that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware or any other harmful programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware.
Registered users and Dialog's technical support team (Technical Support) are able to ask or answer questions or otherwise contribute content or material (Contribution) to the Support Site. The below content standards apply to any and all Contributions and to any interactive services associated with it. You must comply with the spirit of the following standards as well as the letter. The standards apply to each part of any Contribution as well as to its whole. Contributions must be accurate (where they state facts) or genuinely held (where they state opinions).
Contributions must not:
- contain any material which is defamatory of any person or obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory;
- promote sexually explicit material, violence or discrimination based on race, ***, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age or any other illegal activity;
- advocate, promote or assist in infringing any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other person or computer misuse; or
- be made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence.
Any Contribution you make to the Support Site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary, and we have the right to use, copy, distribute and disclose to third parties any such content for any purpose. We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any Contribution by you to the Support Site constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.
Should you consider that any material contributed to our Support Site by another user violates the Content Standards, please notify your local Dialog Semiconductor office.
You acknowledge that all Contributions whether publicly posted or privately transmitted are the responsibility of the person from which such Contributions originated. As the Support Site is a public forum, any personal information provided in a Contribution is at the contributor's own risk. This means that you and not Dialog are entirely responsible for all Contributions that you upload, post, email or otherwise transmit whilst using the Support Site.
Although our support team will do its reasonable best to moderate the Contributions, we have no obligation to monitor or moderate and cannot guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such Contributions. We, and our designees, have the right in our sole discretion to refuse, move or remove any Contribution that is available on the Developers Forum that violates the Content Standards or is otherwise objectionable.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dialog from any claim, action demand, loss or damages made or incurred by any third party arising out of or relating to your conduct, your violation of the Developers Forum Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
Suspension and Termination
We will determine, in our sole discretion, whether you have breached or acted inconsistently with the spirit or letter of the Support Site Terms (Breach). Where a Breach has occurred we may, temporarily or permanently, without prior notice deactivate or delete (or both) your account and all related information and files relating to your account or your Contributions. You agree that we will not be liable to you or any third-party for any termination of your access to the Developers Forum.
We do not guarantee that our Support Site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. Access to this Support Site is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service provided on the Developers Forum without notice. Dialog will not be liable if for any reason the Developers Forum is unavailable at any time or for any period.
The Developers Forum is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content on the Support Site.
Dialog makes no representation, whether express or implied, as to the completeness or accuracy of the information this Support Site contains. In particular, you should be aware that this information may be incomplete, may contain errors or may have become out of date. Dialog makes no commitment, and disclaims the duty, to moderate, monitor or update any of the information on the Support Site.
To the extent permitted by law, we, other members of our group of companies and third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
We will not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses) incurred by any user in connection with the Support Site or in connection with the use of or reliance on, inability to use, or results of the use of this Support Site, any websites linked to it and any Contributions or materials posted on it, whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the Support Site or to your downloading of any content on it, or on any website linked to it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, or our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Unless otherwise noted, this Support Site and other Dialog websites, including the content and layout of all such sites but excluding a user's Contributions are the exclusive property of Dialog and may not be used, reproduced, disclosed or distributed, in whole or in part, without the prior written consent of Dialog, except for personal (non-commercial) display and use. All communications made by Dialog to you which are not included on the public area of the Developers Forum are confidential and should not be disclosed to any party without the prior consent of Dialog.
You own Contributions or other information you provide to the Support Site, and may request its deletion at any time, unless you have shared information or content with others and they have not deleted it, or it was copied or stored by other users.
Additionally, you grant Dialog a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, unlimited, assignable, sub licensable, fully paid up and royalty-free right to us to copy, prepare derivative works of, improve, distribute, publish, remove, retain, add, process, analyse, use and commercialize, in any way now known or in the future discovered, any information you provide, directly or indirectly to the Support Site, including, but not limited to, any user generated content, ideas, concepts, techniques or data to the services, you submit to the Support Site, without any further consent, notice and/or compensation to you or to any third parties.
Links to Other Materials
Contributions to the Support Site may contain links which will allow you to leave the Dialog website. Such external internet sites and the material are not under the control of Dialog, and Dialog makes no representations and disclaims all liability with respect to such sites and materials.
Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
The English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from, or related to, a visit to the Support Site. The Support Site Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
