wht is the good way to measure the peak current on my board with a oscilloscope

when i connect a 20R resistor by serial with VCC,then i used a oscilloscope to measure the voltage, but i faild, the noise is too hight to identify the real value.could you tell me a good way to do it?thx

Hello fight_bt,

Hello fight_bt,

http://support.dialog-semiconductor.com/system/files/AN-B-015_DA14580_Current_Measurement.pdf

please refer to section 4.1 in attached . This described the method for our EXPERT kit but can be used for other appraoch in target board.

We measure across a 2.2Ohm shunt (low side) with a gain of 1 on the probe with a good quality digital sampling scope.  The measurement conversion = 2.2 mV / mA. The voltage range is 0 ~ 11 mV.

This is the optimum solution to keep noise to a good level.
